美国留学2017秋季的录取结果还未全部公布，一些大学入学申请还在开放，不过准备申请2018秋季入学的同学们要注意啦，今年美本申请又有变革——申请美本时常用的Common Application系统又更新essay题目了！
CA系统2013年刚刚进行了一次重大修改，到2015年又对原有的5个题目进行了微调，到今年直接又增加了2个新的essay题目。
具体是怎么变化的，赶紧来看一看吧！
新题1. Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.
你有什么背景、特质、兴趣或者天赋对你非常重要，如果你没有在申请中体现他们，那你的申请将是不完整的。如果你有这样的故事，请与我们分享。

解析：此题没有变化。
新题2. The lessons we take from obstacles we encountercan be fundamental to later success. Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?
我们从遇到的困境/阻碍获得的经验教训是我们之后成功的基础。回忆你曾经面对过的一次挑战、一场阻碍、一种失败，它是如何影响你的？你又从中学到了什么？
原题2. The lessons we take from failure can be fundamental to later success. Recount an incident or time when you experienced failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?
解析：将原来题目中提到的failure扩增到challenge, setback or failure，增加了可选的题材。
新题3. Reflect on a time when you questioned or challenged a belief or idea. What prompted your thinking? What was the outcome?
回忆你曾经质疑或者挑战一个信仰或想法的时刻，什么影响了你的思维？你又获得了什么？
原题3. Reflect on a time when you challenged a belief or idea. What prompted you to act? Would you make the same decision again?
解析：从原本的挑战信仰，增加了质疑，后面的询问也从做了什么，是否做了正确决定改为思维的改变及收获。
新题4. Describe a problem you've solved or a problem you'd like to solve. It can be an intellectual challenge, a research query, an ethical dilemma - anything that is of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution.
描述一个你曾经解决过的问题或者你想要解决的问题。可以是智力挑战，研究查询，道德困境——不论限制，任何对你个人来说非常重要的都行。解释它对你的意义，为了解决它你采取了哪几步，或者你觉得可以采取方法可以得到解决方案。
原题4. Describe a problem you’ve solved or a problem you’d like to solve. It can be an intellectual challenge, a research query, an ethical dilemma-anything that is of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution.
解析：此题没有变化。
新题5. Discuss an accomplishment, event, or realizationthat sparked a period of personal growth and a new understanding of yourself or others.
讨论某一次成就，事件或者领悟，它标志着你的一段个人成长和关于你自己或者他人的一次新理解。
原题5. Discuss an accomplishment or event, formal or informal, that marked your transition from childhood to **hood within your culture, community, or family.
解析：题目范围变得更加广泛，从具体意义上来看跟原题意思变化不大。
新题6. Describe a topic, idea, or concept you find so engaging that it makes you lose all track of time. Why does it captivate you? What or who do you turn to when you want to learn more?
描述一个话题，观点或者理念，你发现它很有趣以致于让你忘了时间。为什么它能吸引你？当年想要再深入了解的时候，你寻求什么或者谁帮忙？
解析：该题目为新增题目，符合当先大学招生人性化的需求，重点就是各种想发现你的热情在哪里！
新题7. Share an essay on any topic of your choice. It can be one you've already written, one that responds to a different prompt, or one of your own design.
分享一个你自选的话题。可以是你之前已经写过的，一个对不同问题的回应，或者是你自创的问题。
解析：该题目为新增题目，开放式命题，脑洞大的同学可以试试。
总体来说，新的文书题目改变算得上“换汤不换药”，大家还是提早规划早做准备！
